Grew up in East Texas, where I learned to love fried okra and frito pies, went to college in Austin, where I took to alt-country, then moved to New England for grad school, where I learned to appreciate the Texas heat and met my architect-designer-surfer husband, Geoff.
After getting a master's degree from Harvard Divinity School, I went to the Rhode Island School of Design and got a degree in Illustration (with a hefty dose of the Painting department on the side).
Now I'm married and living in Los Angeles, writing stories and poems, and starting to get work as a children's illustrator...
One day, I hope to have a children's book in print, a show up in a gallery, a clear shot on the 405 freeway, and a good dog at my feet.
I am represented by Steven Chudney of The Chudney Agency.
